This radio program from Snap Judgement (first link below) originated from an article in the Oregonian (second link). This program shares the dilemmas a family, autistic son, and school go through as they navigate the student's differences in appearance and choices from the "normal" high school population. Listening to the family grasp the challenges in this situation and their ups and downs makes me contemplate how we respond to differences in perception, clothing choices, appearance, and personality. This program is certainly worth a listen, especially if you work in a school setting, in supporting Autism teenagers, or both.
